About Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massage Therapy is both a massage and a therapy in
one treatment using Hot Basalt Stones .  This treatment works on
four levels gently rebalancing all the body's systems, relaxing, calming and
soothing leaving  one totally re-balanced
and energised.

A deeply warming, soothing therapy, using smooth Hot
Stones this treatment can be used therapeutically or purely for
relaxation.  The heat from the basalt stones deeply penetrate
the muscular structures, soothing and releasing tension and toxins, warming and sedating the body's systems.

Benefits include:

Muscle Relaxation: The heat from the stones helps muscles to relax, allowing the deep tissues to be manipulated more effectively.

Improved Circulation: As the heat from the stones penetrates  deeper into body tissues, blood vessels open,
resulting in improved circulation. Poor circulation can lead to fatigue, which
tenses the muscles, and a build-up of fluid and lactic acid in the muscles.
Increased circulation delivers more oxygen to the muscles, which can help ease aches and pains

Mental Benefits: The relaxation achieved through a hot stone massage helps ease some mental stress and tension. A hot stone massage may also help combat some of the symptoms of anxiety disorders and depression.
