Begin your mindfulness journey on this mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) program. This 8-week course, as taught by founder of MBSR, Jon Kabat Zinn, can help you with stress management and improve your well-being.

During the program, you will learn different mindfulness techniques and how to apply them in your daily life. The course includes:

- Guided mindfulness meditation practices

- Instruction on how to be more mindful in daily activities

- Group discussion and sharing

- Gentle stretching and mindful movement

This mindfulness course can help you become more aware of the present moment and reduce stress and anxiety. By the end of the program, you will have learned valuable tools to manage stress and live a more fulfilling life.

Who is this course for?

As mentioned above, mindfulness can help anyone improve the feeling of well-being. Also, mindfulness practices can help anyone who has a high level of interaction with people, such as therapists. Mindfulness can benefit therapists in many ways, from managing their well-being and self-care to improving their counselling skills. Therapists who practice mindfulness can develop a greater sense of awareness and attunement to their clients, which can lead to more effective treatments. In addition, mindfulness can help therapists to become more present in the moment and less reactive to stressful situations. As a result, mindfulness can help therapists to provide more compassionate and effective care to their clients.

You can also use mindfulness to improve your own personal and professional life. By taking time to be mindful of your thoughts, emotions and experiences, you can learn to control your reactions to stressful situations and become more resilient in the face of challenges. Mindfulness can also help you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself and others, which can lead to improved communication and relationships.

A certificate of attendance  will be awarded upon completion (must have full attendance of all sessions to receive the certificate).

CPD Points: 18 hours (this is added on the the certificate)

This course can also qualify for the foundational requirement for Mindfulness Teacher Training. Usually after completion, one is expected to continue with their mindfulness practice for about a year, before progressing on to teacher training.

Sessions are held on Tuesdays 6:00 PM- 8:30 PM, BST. There will be a 15 minute tea-break in each session.

On completion of the course, a certificate of attendance will be awarded (16 CPD points). There is some 'self-work' to carry out in your own time between sessions, but this really has to fit in with you, rather than a prescriptive amount of set homework. It is suggested a daily practice of at least 5 minutes and up to what you are able to do.

-a device to stream the live feed of the session

-quiet time away from any distractions and people for the duration of the session
